OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive) is a Microsoft cloud storage service that allows files and media to be easily shared among many different devices anywhere there is internet service.

OneDrive allows users to easily store and share photos, videos, documents and more...anywhere, on any device for free. When you install OneDrive, a OneDrive folder is created on your computer. Everything you put into this folder is automatically kept in sync between your computers (Mac or PC), Android or iOS devices, and OneDrive.com, so you can get to your latest files from virtually anywhere. Whenever you add, change, or delete files in one location, all the other locations will be updated. The OneDrive file hosting service offers 7 GB of free storage for new users, an additional 3 GB if you turn on the photo backup feature on your phone, and up to 5 GB from friend referrals earning 500 MB for each. A subscription to Office 365 adds an additional 100 GB as well. Power users who require more storage also have an option of choosing from three premium storage plans that add from 50 to 200 GB.
Microsoft Office Integration
OneDrive works with both Office 2013 and Office 365, so it's easy to create, edit, and share your documents. Documents saved to OneDrive can be accessed from any device. OneDrive now has Office Online support. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote documents on can be viewed, created, and edited all within the web browser. This allows users to upload, create, edit and share Microsoft Office documents very easily.

OneDrive integrates with Bing allowing users to save search histories. Also Windows Live Groups provides 5GB of OneDrive storage space to allow groups members to create, modify, and delete files in the group's OneDrive folder. Microsoft Office users (Windows and OS X) can use desktop applications to simultaneously edit documents stored on OneDrive. Multiple users are able to collaborate and use both desktop and web applications to edit shared documents.

OneDrive not only allows you to access personal files from anywhere, but also allows you to decide who can see your data. By changing your sharing permissions you can give access to anyone anywhere. Allowing them to access as much of your data as you want or don't want to make public. You can view other people's documents simply by going onto his or her profile in Windows Live as long as they are friends, and access their public documents and photos. When syncing files with your different devices your data can be accessed offline as well. These offline edits will automatically sync next time you connect. Your personal information is used to enhance your experience and Microsoft's understanding of your wants and needs. Microsoft does not sell, rent, or lease your information to third parties.

This means unlimited access to files from multiple devices in order to store, sync, and share work. While simple and intuitive, OneDrive for Business is also a secure and trusted service that offers content management and even administrative control. OneDrive is included with many Office 365 business plans, but also as a standalone product giving employees 25 GB of storage with upgrade options.
